Two examples of major projects we have undertaken are provided below.

Client:  Cirrus Logic Inc.

Our role:  Since 2003 I enjoyed two episodes working for Wolfson Microelectronics, and have recently been engaged again by the company's new owner, Cirrus Logic, to design and migrate to the infrastructure required in the newly combined organisations.

Project outline:  My contributions over these past 11 years have been of great significance, from the design of the first deployment of Active Directory in Wolfson and the underlying LAN and WAN infrastructure, through numerous iterations of Windows Server, SAN/NAS data storage solutions, and a host of other activities.

Our role:  Technical design authority for a project whose core objective was consolidating 23 NT4 domains to a single Windows Server 2003 Active Directory (AD) domain.

Project outline:  The new architecture has been deployed across 240 educational establishments with approximately 44,000 users, and included a roll-out of 4000 Windows XP and 6000 Mac OS X client machines. Of particular note was achieving provision of centralised MCX preferences for the Mac OS X clients through modification of the AD schema.
